Seven sessions. One month. The first record exists.
This is not a progress report. The archive does not publish progress reports. This is a note from the field. From the Steward, to whoever is considering whether to apply, to whoever wants to understand what actually happens in session one.
What Session One Is
The theme is Arrival.
Not arrival to Bengaluru specifically, but arrival to wherever you are now. To this version of yourself. To this particular configuration of your life that you inhabit in 2026.
The question is: who are you right now, before this year changes you?
It sounds simple. It is not. Most people have not been asked it directly, by someone who is genuinely listening, with no agenda attached to the answer.
The first twenty minutes of every session are the same. Uncertainty. A kind of performed confidence that slowly loosens. Then something shifts, a question hits differently, or a silence lasts long enough, and the real conversation begins.
That is the record. Not the performed part. The part after.
What the Photographs Look Like
Formal. Unsmiling, mostly, not because the Steward asks for that, but because something about the camera and the context produces seriousness.
These are not Instagram photographs. They are not optimised for warmth or relatability or likes. They are meant to look like they were taken in a year, by someone who wanted to record the face accurately.
In 2050, these photographs will be evidence. They will show what a person in Bengaluru looked like in 2026. Not posed. Not filtered. Evidence.

The collection has twelve subjects. Seven are now in the archive.
Five places remain. Applications are reviewed by the Steward personally. There is no automated shortlist, no form that makes you feel good about submitting. You express interest. The Steward reads it. The Steward follows up or does not.
